Race Recap

The past couple of weeks since Hawaii, I haven't done very much. Actually I think I've only ran two or three times since October 13th. Maybe this is why I felt pretty good this morning. At the start of the race, I went out and paced with the top four guys. About a mile in a high school kid took off, and really created a big gap between the three of us running together. I continued to run with the two other guys to see if they would crack. One of the Caskey brothers kicked it in about 2 1/2 miles in, and I couldn't hold the pace. The other kid fell back, and I cruised to 3rd place. All the folks from Irwin were there including my wife Jennifer who was the 2nd female overall not far behind Tammy Slusser, and my sister and dad also ran. My dad bettered his 5K time by over 3 minutes, and Stace did well too. Overall it was a fun morning.
