Well for the second year in a row, this was a race one week out from a marathon. At the last minute today I decided to go out hard for the first three miles of the race, and then run the last three miles at marathon pace.

My first three mile loop split was 18:19 (6:06 pace), and my second three mile loop split was 19:52 (6:37 pace).
