Bike Positioning and Aerodynamics
I've over analyzed in my head what I needed to do in order to qualify for Kona next year. The main thing that I need to improve on is my biking. I need to shave off at least 15 minutes of my total Ironman bike time.
When you break it out I need to up my average speed from 20.55 mph to roughly 21.6 mph. Of course I'm not going to make up the difference simply by adjusting my saddle a millimeter here or there but it might not be a bad idea right? If I'm able to produce 20 or 30 extra watts by some small minor adjustments, I'd like to give it a shot. I'm going to Pittsburgh Pro Bikes (one of my new sponsors) this Tuesday for a bike fitting, but before I do I figured that I would post a video of my current position on the web for you all to judge and analyze. Hopefully I'll get some ideas that I can run with out of this post for Tuesday! Looking forward to the comments!!!
Has anyone ever flow out of town for a bike fit? Any good suggestions to something in driving distance to the Pittsburgh area? Cadence bike shop in Philly?
