The "Y" Away

This morning I was up at 4:00 AM and on my way to the Pittsburgh Airport. It was a really long morning especially because once we boarded the plane we basically sat at the gate for over an hour. I started to get worried that I was going to miss my connection, but then I remembered I was flying through Philly. No worries here, Philly is always late....and I was right. I ran to my gate, and our plane wasn't even there yet. So anyways I flew into Manchester New Hampshire for a fun filled day of work. As soon as work was over I decided to head over to the local YMCA, my home away from home. Tonight's run called for 75 minutes with 3 x 6 minute intervals in HR zone 3. For me that's a Heart Rate between 165 - 173. After a 25 minute warm up I cranked up the treadmill to 10.0 mph and started interval #1. I felt very comfortable running 6:00 minute miles especially since I didn't even go out of HR Zone 3! Very big milestone in my training. Every week I feel like I'm building a more solid foundation for this summer. So that's all I had for tonight. My flight leaves early tomorrow morning at 7:15 AM. Good night all.
