Week in Houston

So far the weather here in Houston has been nice. When I arrived here on Monday the temp was topping out around 78 or 79 degrees. However having not run in this temperature (or humidity) in a couple of months it was very hard to get the motor going. We're staying about 30 minutes away from the Toshiba plant where I'm working this week, but that was on purpose. See most hotels in highly populated areas are surrounded by concrete and are not runner friendly. I keep trying to tell this to the people I'm here with, but they just don't understand. Also the YMCA is relatively close too even though I haven't made it to the pool yet this week. Anyways, yesterday was my off day, and today it's back to intense training. I was going to wake up early for my run, but didn't want to run in a dark neighborhood that I'm not familiar with so I'll hopefully get in my run after work tonight.

As far as work goes, we went to a very unique Texas bar-b-que restaurant for lunch yesterday. I tried to eat healthy, but even the vegetables I ordered must of been drained of all nutrients.

Well I'm off to breakfast and ready for another long day of work :(
