Numb 3 times in one week

So the cold jet stream from Minnesota last week decided to follow me home. Jen and I woke up to another chilly morning. Try seven degree's with a windchill on -11 in the Burgh!!! Regardless we layered up and went out for our long run. Today's run called for a 15-20 minute warm-up and then a 1 mile interval on the track at 10 beats lower than my 5a zone (170-172 HR). It was really bone chilling and took forever to warm up. Once we got to the track I started my interval. However my legs didn't want to run with me today. I kept my HR right at 172 and only ran a 6:15 mile....what the heck?? I'm convinced it was the weather and the 10 mph wind that blew non-stop on the track. Anyways I was happy to get in around 10 miles today outdoors in the cold. After we got home we did a quick transition and jumped right into the X-terra. Off to the pool we went. We swam a easy 3000 yards today in the pool and now for my favorite part of the day. On our way home we stopped at Kohls and used some of our gift cards and treated ourselves to a new smoothie maker! We then went straight to the grocery store, bought some groceries and I just finished up drinking the best smoothie ever!!! Here's my secret recipe for the best smoothie you'll ever drink!!! 4 Strawberries, 6-10 Blueberries, 1/4 cup Raspberries, half a banana, 1/2 cup of organic strawberry yogurt, splash of apple juice, and ice. Trust me, you'll thank me later!!!
