My Blog's MIA

So my blog posts have been missing in action the past 4 days and that's mainly due to once again being very very busy. Let's start with Monday. After work I headed straight to the Y for my Monday swim. Typically I've had off on Monday's but coach wanted me to go light today......so here's his interperation of light. 2200 yards in the pool, and one killer of a weight lifting workout that lasted a good 90 minutes and left my arms sore for another 3 days!!! Tuesday morning we were up early and out running in the rain before work....not fun. After a very icy and slow 45 minutes it was time to head to work. After work we went to the track for run workout #2 for the day. Again it was another 45 minute run and raining off and on.

So does anyone see a pattern here? Sleep, workout, eat, work, eat, workout, eat, sleep. That's a day in the life of Chad and Jen!!!

Wednesday was a travel day and I was able to get my trainer ride in early before I hit the road to Niagara Falls / Buffalo. I picked up my co-worker and we headed to the falls. It actually was a pretty quick drive except for the weather. At times I thought I was on my way up to Hawi on the big island because the wind was blowing us all over the road. We made it to the falls and checked into the Hilton Niagara. It was really awesome. I got upgraded to a suite and had a room that overlooked the falls. Simply spectacular. After dinner we made our way to the casino. I joined in on a poker game, and was down $200 bucks before I could even blink an eye. I finally gave up, and made my way over to the Roulette wheel for some quick money. Luckily I made $100 bucks back and called it a night.

This morning I got up around 6:45, and headed back to Buffalo for work. After work, we drove to Erie where we'll be based for our Friday job. I ended up going to the local downtown YMCA for my swim and run. Both workouts went well except for the pool only being 20 yards. I had to do some quick math and factor in the extra length per 100. It wasn't too bad, and I ended up with another 3100 yard workout. Afterwards I headed upstairs and jumped on the treadmill for 45 minutes. I had to do 20 minutes in zone 3, and was able to hold a 6:10 mile pace without having my HR creep into Z4.

So like I said very busy once again this week. I know this weekend is going to fly by too! Monday I set off for Southern California (LA) for work. I'm really hoping some warm air moves in and I can run outside in shorts!!!

For some reason spell check isn't working...so I'm sure this post has many typo's. Just too busy to even proof read! Time for bed.
