Ouch....now that's a weekend to remember

Well after one of my best training runs of the year, my bike ride yesterday wasn't all it was cracked up to be. The morning started off extremely chilly. The temp barely broke into the 40's, and it took forever for us to warm up. We set off from Irwin, and traveled into Hermine, and then down to Suttersville. We climbed over to Elizabeth, did a 30 mile loop on the other side of the Mon, back to Suttersville, and before you knew it we had in over 80 miles. It was about this time when my legs said enough was enough. After 24 miles yesterday, and 4 and a half hours in the saddle, my legs were a hurtin. I said to Paul, let's take the shortest route back, which was another hour away, and struggled the rest of the day. We ended up riding a little over 5 1/2 hours, and logged over 100 miles. All in all it was a nice hard weekend and my longest training weekend of my Kona training.
