SMALL

Last Revised - 2007

I grew up in a small town in Irwin Pennsylvania and that is where I still live. I graduated from Penn Trafford High School, where I was very active in a lot of different sports affiliated programs. Through out high school I was a ten time letterman (four in Ice Hockey, three in Track, and three in Cross Country) and was also Varsity captain of the ice hockey team my junior and senior year. After graduating high school, I enrolled at Pittsburgh Technical Institute where I was awarded an associates degree in Computers and Specialized Technology, and maintained a GPA of 3.96. After PTI I enrolled at Robert Morris University in their Information Science program. I graduated with my bachelors degree the summer of 2004 with a GPA of 3.70. My education also consists of Interning at Carnegie Mellon University as part of the Computer Maintenance Team in late 2000. You can find my experience and skills documented in my resume, on my "resume page".

In January 2001 I graduated from PTI and joined Greycourt & Co., Inc. as the companies System administrator. At Greycourt, I was in charge of managing the Network Enterprise, ongoing system maintenance, and all server monitoring activity. In January of 2005, I left Greycourt and joined Westinghouse Electric Comany as a Quality Engineer in the Global Supplier Quality group.

My hobbies include playing hockey , playing guitar, and especially running, biking and swimming. I completed my first Ironman event on October 16, 2004, and have actively competed in numerous local, and national events. On July 22nd, 2007 I lined up at the starting line for my fifth Ironman competition in Lake Placid New York.  When it was all said and done, I had finished 58th overall out of 2208 participants, 6th place overall out of all males ages 25-29, and finished with a finishing time of 10 hours, 17 minutes, and 40 seconds.  With these results, I had qualified for a spot in the Ironman World Championships staged annually in Kaliua-Kona Hawaii.

Tens-of-thousands of triathletes around the globe try to get one of those coveted Ironman spots every year. Only 1,700 succeed.  That means 1,700 people get to test themselves on one of the biggest challenges the sports world has to offer ... 2.4-miles of swimming, 112-miles of biking, and a 26.2-mile marathon run through tough ocean waves, and challenging lava-covered terrain.  It is triathlon's Super Bowl, Wimbledon, World Series, World Cup, and Tour de France all rolled into one.
